Coffee time!

IMG_8297

So here’s the story behind this iced latte.  Paul and I got into an argument over this coffee shop.  I wanted to get an iced coffee of some sort, but of course Paul had to rain on my parade and INSIST that the ice would be unsanitary and would give me diarrhea.  I was willing to take the risk, I mean, I like to live on the edge, so what? That’s why we’re on this trip. And look how nice the shop looks!  I highly doubted diarrhea would be allowed on the menu, but Paul then got upset with my “recklessness.”  Anyways, as we sat there drinking the latte (I won, of course), Paul googled the issue and we deduced that iced drinks are safe in Thailand as long as the ice is the cylindrical kind with a hole through the middle, which means it was commercially manufactured safely.  And lo and behold, that was the kind of ice in my coffee, so there.  Which was absolutely delicious, by the way.  Joyce: 1, Paul: 0
