For $75 USD we spent a full day with elephants. We were picked up at 8am from our hostel and driven Baan Chang Elephant Park on the outskirts of Chiang Mai.

The first task was feeding the elephants bananas, which they ate by the bunch!

When putting the bananas directly in their mouths, I could feel their huge strong slimy gums around my hand.  I preferred letting them take the bananas from my hand with their versatile trunks.

The elephants are guided by shouting the command, moving your body accordingly, and a light touch of the pick to their foreheads.
